DOROTHY ALICE
MALLORY
MALLORY
Dorothy Mallory, age 85,
died quietly on Monday,
August 4, 2008, after a
valiant struggle with Myasthenia
Gravis. She was
born on January 3, 1923, in
Castleford, Idaho, to
George E. Clement and
Pearl Clement.
On December 16, 1940,
Carroll Mallory returned to
Castleford to claim his high
school sweetheart as his
bride. They returned to
California where Carroll
was attending Fresno State
College to begin 67 years
of an eventful life together.
Dorothy followed Carroll
during his military training
whenever possible. After
his B-24 crew left for
Okinawa, Dorothy found
great satisfaction building
the B-25 bombers in
Southern California.
Her devotion to making
her home a place of
beauty, comfort and peace
was always evident.
She joined her husband,
Carroll as a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, where
she served in many capacities,
including a mission
for the church employment
center. Her beautiful voice
was often a part of church
services in solo or with the
choir.
She is survived by her
husband, Carroll; two children,
Karen Bennett of
Winston, Oregon, and Jeff
Mallory of Gilbert, Arizona;
as well as nine grandchildren
and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at
the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints at

Fresno on Saturday, August
9, 2008, from 12:00
noon to 1:00 p.m. The
funeral service will follow at
1:00 p.m. Dedication of the
grave at Belmont Memorial
Park.
